Local Indonesian television has broadcast closed circuit video footage of the moment a bomb ripped through the Marriott hotel.
The video shows a man walking into the hotel lobby, who then disappears in a cloud of smoke after the bomb explodes.
Nine people were killed and dozens injured earlier on Friday when bombs exploded at the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton hotels in central Jakarta.
The bomb attacks, the first in several years, blew out the windows of both hotels near each other in the Kuningan business area popular with foreigners and Indonesians, sending alarm bells ringing and guests fleeing.
